The San Francisco 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh has drawn national attention recently, but not for his usual on-field antics. There have been reports coming from the 49ers organization that the fourth-year coach has lost the admiration and respect from his players, which could be attributed to their recent struggles both on and off the field.
Deion Sanders, a former player for the 49ers and current NFL Network analyst, was the first person to fan the flames by telling the media, “They want him out…they’re not on the same page.”
He claims to have a source from inside the 49ers locker room that first alerted him to the turmoil in San Francisco.

Many people believed Sanders’s source to be 49ers starting wide receiver Michael Crabtree. When Crabtree was drafted by the 49ers in the 2009 draft, Sanders developed a friendship with Crabtree and was even involved with his rookie contract negotiations with the team.
However, Sanders has come forward via Twitter saying that Crabtree is not his source inside the 49ers locker room. To even further the point, Crabtree has taken to Twitter himself saying that all is good inside the 49ers locker room.
Crabtree is not the only player speaking out to the media in defense of their coach. 49ers starting guard Alex Boone had a definitive statement for the media about the situation.
“As a matter of fact, I know for a fact that everybody loves Harbaugh,” Boone said.
Whether there is displeasure with Harbaugh as coach or not, the team has not let it get to them. While Harbaugh has been coach, the 49ers have made it to three consecutive NFC Championship games and made an appearance in the Super Bowl.
They are currently coming off an impressive win over a strong Philadelphia Eagles team and are looking to stick to their winning ways and put together yet another strong season.
