Today, the College Panhellenic Association welcomed new sisters into the three national sororities on the California State University, Stanislaus campus.
Panhellenic is an organization that oversees international and national sororities and fraternities. We have three sororities that are a part of Panhellenic: Alpha Xi Delta, Phi Sigma Sigma and Phi Mu.
The campus website lists the goals of all three philanthropies as follows:
Alpha Xi Delta is “dedicated to philanthropy, academics, sisterhood and inspiring women to realize their potential.”
Phi Sigma Sigma strive to “give service; promote the advancement of womanhood, friendships and cooperation among college women of all races, relations and creeds; to further the knowledge of its members and to promote philanthropic endeavors.”
Phi Mu, the newest edition to CSU Stanislaus, “promotes vibrant living while also encouraging members to achieve their personal best.”
These three sororities all anticipate new classes of girls who will proudly wear their letters.
Girls that are interested in these sororities have been rushing together since Aug. 24.
Today marks the end of the recruitment process. The rushees and Panhellenic sororities gathered together in the amphitheater to reveal the sorority each rushees decided to join.
