While the semester approaches the last few holidays of the year, Thanksgiving break is a time most students will rejoice with family and friends. CSU Stanislaus students across campus share what they are most thankful for this holiday. The running theme shared was friends, family, children, and even a furry friend. 
Arely Garcia (junior, Liberal Studies) shares, “I’m thankful for the love and support I have received this year,” she said. “All the accomplishments that I have made. I’m also thankful for my relationship that has grown stronger and the love and care I receive from my significant other.” 
Natalie Villanueva (junior, English) is thankful for the solid friendships she has in her life. 
“I couldn’t imagine living a life without fun, admirable and academically driven women,” she said. “I’m grateful this holiday season for real friends. Both Ashley and Soleil have provided such a safe space to just be who I am, with my uncolored feelings and everything in between.” 
Alexis Rosendo (junior, Child Development) shares, “I’m thankful for the support that I get from my family, I’m also thankful for my son and having the opportunity to work and finish school. 
Soleil Jones (senior, English) said she’s grateful for friends, both new and old.
“Friendship means the world to me. So much so that I don’t consider my closest friends “friends,” but rather, my ever growing sisterhood and family. I’m grateful to be blessed with friends who are beautiful inside and out, and who share hearts just as big as mine. To my greatest support system, l’m thankful for you, your love, your existence, and your friendship.”
Diana Sandoval (grad student, Education) leads a busy life, but manages to find time to appreciate it all. 
“Currently I am a full time employee, attending grad school, attending a credential program, a mom, and wife … but, l am grateful that my son is thriving and happy, ” she said.
Sandoval is especially thankful for her role as a special eduction teacher and the rewards it brings. 
“I am grateful for my students, everyday I learn something new about them and how I can help them grow in their academic careers,” she said. “Being a SDC teacher is a hard job, but it is so rewarding seeing the progress your students make.” 
Dylan Rosenow (junior, English) shared, “Im thankful for my puppy dog Luna, for always being there to give me hugs on the worst and best days that life has to offer.”
Thanksgiving break for Stan State Students is Nov. 21-26.
