On Oct. 8, demonstrators took to the corner of Monte Vista Avenue and Countryside Drive to protest the violation of women’s rights by the Iranian government , as well as the murder of Mahsa Amini by morality police on Sept. 16.
The signage carried by demonstrators included calls for the public to stand with the women of Iran, to support human rights in Iran, and to call for the dissolution of the current Iranian regime.
Protestors were met with general encouragement from passers-by, who honked in support of the cause and made way for protestors to safely cross the street to continue their demonstration.
