What better way to get into the spirit of October than to get lost in 20-acres of corn?
R.A.M Farms located here in Turlock on Daubenberger Rd. offers a spooky corn maze sure to challenge you. The festive family-owned pumpkin patch is worth all the excitement. The Macedo family has been running their pumpkin patch since 2007. It is fun for the whole family, and you can bring you flashlights to get really into the spirit of the corn maze at dusk.
“We have been open every year, even with COVID since we operate everything outside,” said Ron Macedo, owner of R.A.M. Farms.
The pumpkin patch features a corn maze, U-Pick flowers, hay maze, scary shed, and photo opportunities. R.A.M. farms has 70 varieties of pumpkins. Macedo explained.
“Our newest edition is movie nights where skeletons and ghosts come to life,” he said. 
Hannah Rantz, an employee of R.A.M. farms, has been working with the Macedo’s for the last two years. 
“I like it because it is really festive and brings me into the fall spirit being here,” Rantz says if her experience working at the farm. Hannah works different stations at the pumpkin patch including the spooky shed, she added. 
Ebony Brown (senior, Communications) still feels uncomfortable with being around large crowds but plans to spread the word about the corn maze.
“I am going to let my friends know about the corn maze,” she said. “I have enjoyed going to pumpkin patches when I was younger and definitely like corn mazes.”
Although things have been more back to normal in the world, there is still some skepticism when it comes to large crowds for some. To assure their customers, R.A.M. Farms activities are all outdoors and sanitizer can be found around the patch. 
The patch is also pet friendly, so feel free to bring your fur babies. In that theme, they will host a Barktoberfest event on October 28 at the farm, so guests can dress up their dogs and join in on the fun.
R.A.M. Farms is open daily, noon to dusk, 10-10 Friday and Saturday and 10-8 Sunday. There is never a fee to come visit the pumpkin patch but there is an admission fee for the corn maze.
