California State University, Stanislaus will host an on-site Work Wellness Event for CSU Stanislaus employees from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday, March 26 and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, March 27.
This event will be held at the Mary Stuart Rogers (MSR) Educational Services Gateway Building Room 130 and is free to all CSU Stanislaus employees. Employees who are interested must schedule an appointment before March 26 at www.signupgenius.com/go/20f0b4eacaf23abfe3-biometrics.
Included in the checkup is a screening of the participant’s glucose, blood pressure, body mass index (BMI), body fat percentage, height, weight and good, high-density lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol versus their bad, low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol.
“We just want to make sure that everybody’s healthy,” said Rose Jones, Campus Benefits Coordinator at CSU Stanislaus. “Some folks don’t take time to go to the doctor’s to look at their blood pressure and stuff like that, so we’re making it convenient so it’s right on campus, on site, here in the MSR building where people can come in. It’s quick and easy.”
According to the email sent out by Human Resources to CSU Stanislaus employees, the screenings are confidential. Privacy screens will be placed in each station and fasting is not required prior to the screening. Results will be ready immediately following.
There will also be a raffle for those who decide to participate. Prizes include one $250 Visa gift card, five $100 Visa gift cards, five $50 Visa gift cards and other various items.
If you have any questions, please contact Jones at [email protected] or at 209-664-6730.
