Paying for an on campus parking permit is a cost shared by faculty, staff and students of California State University, Stanislaus (Stan State). As a student, it is beneficial to understand the process of parking on campus.
According to the University Police Department (UPD), The 2015-2016 Fall and Spring cost for a student is one hundred and eighty dollars. An additional three dollars will be charged for a hanger to easily display the parking permit.
Effective January 2016, the cost of the parking permit can be raised.
Parking permits will no longer be purchased at the cashier’s office. The parking permits can be purchased online at mycampuspermit.com. There is no additional charge to purchase parking online.
As of Sept. 16, more than three thousand semester parking permits have been sold online.
In order to buy your parking permit you must login using your campus ID and password. After a successful login you will be required to enter your credit card information, vehicle license plate and the address you would like your parking permit mailed to.
Once you have purchased your parking permit you will need to print your temporary parking permit and place it on your vehicle’s dashboard. The temporary parking permit will be valid for 10 days.
UPD encourages everyone to take advantage of the online parking permit sales option whenever possible. Parking passes may be purchased at the UPD for those who do not have internet access or cannot pay by credit card.
“Purchasing permits online reduces the time students, faculty and staff wait in line. Because this new system partners with our University mailroom and print shop, rather than third-party vendors, it reduces the overall cost of printing the parking passes and keeps campus funds on campus,” Clint Strode, UPD Lieutenant said.
Other benefits to using the mycampuspermit.com website include being able to purchase a parking permit using your credit card (Visa, Master Card and Discover) and being able to purchase at any time of the day. The online store is open twenty four hours a day, seven days a week.
