Wednesday, Nov. 7, students, faculty and staff gath- ered in the California State University, Stanislaus Event Center for an evening of food, entertainment and culture.
The Faculty Mentor Program Student Organiza- tion (FMPSO) hosted their fourth annual Cultural Show. Doors opened at 5 p.m. and within minutes the entire room filled with people excited about what the evening would hold.
After the FMPSO president said a few words about the event, everyone explored cultural displays set up around the room to learn something new about differ- ent cultures. Then, everyone gathered to watch cultural singing, dancing and skits. The evening drew to an end around 7 p.m.
Students were enthusiastic about the event, and not only because it consisted of free food.
“I think it is really cool that they are doing something like this,” Ricardo Ramos-Morales (sophomore, Business) said. “It gives us an opportunity to learn about the diversity of our campus, and of course the food is great.”
