Whether you’ve been naughty or nice, let’s hope Secret Santa doesn’t give you coal. If you would like to receive a nice gift, why not give one too! Secret Santa should be fun, but for some it can be more stressful.
“Secret Santa is a fun way to include everyone in gift giving, while also saving money,” Kaitlyn Kelly (senior, Business Administration) said.
People you aren’t as familiar with can be the trickiest to select Secret Santa gifts for. Several gifting solutions to the “person of mystery” scenario are:
1. A coffee mug with a packet of hot cocoa.
2. Specialty treats from a reputable bakery.
3. A candle fragrance you like.
4. Chocolate, graham crackers, and marshmallows to make smores.
5. A hand soap, hand lotion caddy.
6. Movie theater tickets.
7. Lottery tickets.
8. If all else fails, GIFT CARD!
Things to consider!
1. Do not gift an item just to help clear out the pantry. (This isn’t a white elephant exchange)
2. Do not be embarrassed to attach a gift receipt for an item because most secret santa gift exchanges include a specified price range to begin with.
