Time for competition, Phi Sigma Sigma will be hosting their 2nd annual Kicks for Kids, Kickball Tournament! This Saturday from 10-2pm at Walnut Elementary School, come down for some friendly competition including a barbeque, food, and music. All proceeds go to the Phi Sigma Sigma Foundation partnered with the Kids In Need Foundation, which benefits school and college readiness!
This event is open to the community including kids of all ages, parents, other organizations on campus, students, etc. It is a great way to raise money for Phi Sigma Sigma’s Philanthropy and bring together our community.
Danielle Martinez (junior, Criminal Justice) spoke about her previous experience.
“Last year was our first time hosting this event and from personal experience I had a blast! I love competition so this event was something I was looking forward to all semester, and now that it is approaching again I cannot wait to go out and support every team!” Martinez said.
Haylee Tobin (junior, psychology) wants people to understand what they are for.
“We hope that people involved will get a better understanding of who we are and what we represent. My philanthropy means getting the opportunity to fundraise money for children and families that are struggling financially and need help with providing school necessities” Tobin said.
