Stan State’s radio station, KCSS, hosted the City of Turlock Mayor, Gary Soiseth, on their podcast channel Central Valley Politics. Soiseth sat down with Signal editors, Jesus Alvarado and Kristen Dias, along with Dr. Shannon Stevens for an on-air interview.
Soiseth’s term as mayor is near an end in 2018 and the hashtag #Soiseth2018 has circulated, implying his mayoral candidacy for the Turlock general municipal election.
The Turlock election is held on the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November of even numbered years.
The podcast covers topics from water policy, social infrastructure of Turlock, an upcoming partnership with Stan State, his initiative to fly 1,000 American flags in Turlock and his gratitude to the firefighters.
