According to the University Police Department (UPD), there have been three reported incidents from April 5 to April 12.
Theft
Theft was reported near the baseball field on Thursday, April 5, at 6:00 pm. The vehicle reported was labeled “OTHER VEHICLES” meaning that it was not a normal car, but might have been a service vehicle, tractor or some other type of motor vehicle.
Hit and Run
UPD is investigating a hit and run that was reported on Tuesday in Parking Lot #4 at 10:30 am. No injuries or suspects were reported.
A hit and run was also reported in early February by UPD.
Warrant Arrest
According to UPD’s crime log, an arrest off of campus was reported Thursday at 9:15 am. The arrest was made by UPD. The suspect had a warrant out for their arrest for a reported misdemeanor by a different agency prior to UPD’s arrest. The crime was closed by arrest.
This marks the second instance of UPD’s assist in a warrant arrest with outside agencies within less than a month.
