“It’s a great idea! It’s nice to know people care about your well being while away at college, because college is hard man,” Reyes said.
Reyes is aware of the new location of the food pantry and saying, “I would use it only if I needed it because if I used it now it would feel like I am taking advantage of it because I don’t need it”
ASI have been currently working on a new flyer to let students know where they are now located and what is in store for the future of the pantry. a bigger food pantry to supply all who are in need of its services.
Katie Rotan, ASI Interim Student Government & Leadership Manager, currently oversees the Warrior Food Pantry and believes that in the future there could be volunteer opportunities to help with food drives, and re-stocking.
ASI is happy to provide the food pantry to Stan State students and with the newer space there will be more food to help those who need it on campus.
“The Warrior Food Pantry is just the beginning. It’s not just a campus issue, it’s a humanitarian issue. Through collaboration with our entire campus, Stanislaus State will work to make sure that no student has to wonder where their next meal is coming from.” – Brandon Demers, ASI President
