Julie Owen, the wellness coordinator at Covenant Village, had this to say about pool volleyball, “It was everything! The most important was that the residents had a great time and they definitely did. The girls were so sweet and brought out the residents competitive side which was fun to see. I don’t think they even realized they were getting a workout in while playing.”

On the other end of the spectrum, not all of the athletes were in the pool. Those who were not playing volleyball were scattered around the pool deck and engaging in conversation with the residents who chose to spectate, rather than play. Breanna Cannon was listening closely to something Assistant Coach Megan Powell said, and her laughter filled the room.
