According to the University Police Department’s (UPD) crime log, the police department responded to 23 incidents the week of September 10-14.
Hit and Run
Two students reported their cars were involved in hit-and-runs. One in parking lot 3 and one in lot 4.
There was also a report of a noninjury hit-and-run in parking lot 4.
Suspicious Person/ Circumstance
UPD responded to a suspicious person in the Student Services building. He was seen contacting students asking for money and cigarettes. 
They also responded to two separate suspicious people in Bizzini Hall. 
A male was found laying in the grass and appeared to be setting up camp. He was advised that there was no camping on campus and left without incident. 
UPD also observed two subjects around the music building, they were cleared and were looking for a lost dog. 
There was also a suspicious male recycling in a trash can west of the Child Development Center (CDC). 
A person at the Mary Stuart Rogers (MSR) building reported that a person was talking about committing suicide. 
There was a person requesting information on library staff, he was going to make a report with CSUS HR.
Traffic Stop
A vehicle was stopped for failing to stop at the limit line at Merced/Ansel Adams. 
A person was issued a citation for speeding in parking lot 2
Vandalism
UPD met with Stan State Athletic’s staff regarding vandalism in the men’s locker room.
They also responded to a person who reported their vehicle had been damaged. The person said that their gas car hose had been cut while it was in parking lot 7.
Littering
A male was stopped for littering his lit cigarette on the sidewalk on the south side of MSR. 
Fraud
A female reported theft and the use of her ATM card. 
Alarm
UPD responded to a trouble alarm in Demergasso Bava Hall (DBH) 288 due to an off-campus company working on the air ducts. 
Also in DBH 288, the fire alarm was set off when the power was shut down. 
Other Incidents
UPD investigated a traffic accident form Sep. 7, in which one person involved in the accident could not get ahold of the second person. UPD assisted with name exchange. 
UPD investigated a possible tampering with the lock to DBH 288.
They responded to a vehicle in lot 8, which was reported to be open with its lights on. The car was located and found intact and secure. 
UPD also responded to track exterior restrooms that were unlocked and one storage area, under the bleachers, that was unlocked. All was cleared and unlocked areas were locked and secured.
