International Women’s Day is a day where we highlight the powerful women in our lives and celebrate the impact they have on the world we live in.
Women from all walks of life are often viewed as superheroes for all that they do, but now there is another hero in town. Captain Marvel, the newest installment into the Marvel Universe, made it’s big screen debut on International Women’s Day and cemented her place as an immediate force to be reckoned with.
Carol Danvers, better known as Captain Marvel, can simply be summed up as amazing, and that is without giving away details or spoilers. The movie marks Marvel’s first standalone entry with a female lead and it epitomizes just how powerful women can be.
Even ignoring her super powers, Captain Marvel is seen as a strong, powerful role model throughout the movie and that translates to real life. Her constant will to succeed, coupled with super powers that would make the universe’s mightiest beings shudder, propel her to the very top of the Marvel universe.
Brie Larson, who plays the role as Carol Danvers, excels in a role that will see her become a permanent figure and role models for people everywhere.
Finally, Marvel Studios have their star woman to headline the newest chapter in the Marvel Universe. On a day where we celebrate women for all the heroics they perform, we now have a new hero, and her name is Captain Marvel.
