Stanislaus State announced the opening of another service within the Student Center. The Market is a one-stop shop for grab-and-go food, drinks and snacks and officially opened its doors for the campus community on April 13.
The Market opened for business just days after Stan State’s Red Wave eatery, which is located just a few feet away in the same building.
“Its really neat,” said Alex Feltner (junior, Business CIS) of The Market. “Providing quick access to food and drinks to everyday students can limit the overcrowding of lines in the Warrior Grill or the Red Wave.”
The Market isn’t limited to just food and drinks, students can also find grocery and home items such as; laundry detergent, deodorant and toothpaste.
“The idea of grocery and home items comes in handy for those students who live on campus, they don’t have to leave the campus,” Feltner added.
Meanwhile, the location of The Market is something that Joel Reynoso (Senior, History and Geography) finds odd.
“Honestly, I feel that it is a bit hard to see,” said Reynoso. “The idea of a convenience store is great, it is just a bit hard to locate what actually is inside since it’s next to the Warrior Grill and the Red Wave. Maybe a bigger sign might help.”
The Market’s hours of operation for the spring 2022 semester are from Monday to Friday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
