Stan State plans to hold a community concert this coming Sunday featuring The Two Lips (formerly known as The Tulips), a Filipina and Mexican indie-pop duo based in Los Angeles that includes best friends, Jewlz and Andrea.
The Two Lips formed in late 2023 and are known for their ethereal and dream-like music. Since 2023, they have gained 1.6 million monthly listeners on Spotify.

They released their new single earlier this month, kiss goodbye and performed both weekends at Coachella. Their most popular song still love you (todavía) was released late 2024.
still love you (todavía) highlights emotional attachment and dependency in a relationship that may be toxic. The music video depicts Jewlz and Andrea wearing clown makeup, which symbolizes feeling like the “fool” in a relationship that you’re attached to, knowing you should leave. This is shown through the lyric “I know I shouldn’t but I still love you.” The song currently has over 64 million streams.

Their most recent single, kiss goodbye showcases how it feels to long for someone who you may never see again, and how it feels in the moment. The song has 378k streams. The Two Lips will be performing at the free event on April 26th in front of the University’s Student Centers lawn. Doors will open at 4:00 pm and the concert will start at 5:00 pm.
